Giancarlo Stanton has been selected to participate in his second All-Star game and first Home Run Derby, he was first chosen for the All-Star game back in 2012 and now selected in 2014 as a reserve outfielder. Giancarlo Stanton is having one of those years that makes an impact in baseball, he is batting for average with a .308 avg, twenty one home-runs, sixty-two RBI's, eight stolen bases and leads the league in intentional walks with fifteen.

When you see Giancarlo he looks like he should be playing professional football standing 6'6 240 lb and is only twenty four years old, what this young man has done up to this point in his career is truly amazing and not to mention how he carries himself on and off the field with true professionalism. Giancarlo Stanton barring injury has no idea the heights he can reach, but anyone who follows baseball can see that he has a potential that has not even begun to scratch the surface of what he can accomplish in this game. Players in the football realm would say he is in beast mode, well i say he is in hercules mode when you see his size, speed, power, agility and arm strength you can only admire from afar and wonder how far can this man go.

The Miami Marlins owe it not only to the fan base, but to Giancarlo Stanton to step up to the plate and offer him a contract that would keep him here for a long time along with the other corner stone of the organization Jose Fernandez. This season Giancarlo Stanton broke Mike Lowell's record for becoming the fastest player in Marlins history to reach fifty plus RBI's by the 54th game, which Mike Lowell accomplished in fifty-seven games.

Tonight July 14th, 2014 Giancarlo Stanton will participate in the 2014 Home Run Derby, many analyst and fans alike can not wait to see him step into the box to watch him knock the cover off the ball. Stanton owns the largest home-run in true distance within the ESPN home-run tracker era with a behemoth blast of 494 feet to deep center in Coors Field back in 2012, he also hit this season a 484 foot bomb that just left the crowd in awe of this Hercules like man suited up in a baseball uniform. I think Giancarlo will not disappoint the fans or his fellow colleagues who are just as anxious to see the show up close and personal.

Tomorrow July 15th, stay tuned to the mid-summer classic All-Star game where you can see all your favorite players from both the American and National League including Miami Marlins very own Giancarlo Stanton who might have a chance to be the clear cut DH chosen, especially since the game will be played at Target Field home to the Minnesota Twins an American league ball park.

I salute Giancarlo Stanton for the season he is having and that he continues to have in the second half of the season, but today is a day to marvel at Hercules power, while he dazzles the crowd with his monstrous shots and his infectious smile that makes you realize he is having fun and has no intention of slowing down, stay tuned tonight on ESPN at 8pm to see our modern day Hercules put on a show.
