It's no secret that Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria is looking to make changes to the Marlins baseball operations department, starting with the managerial position.

Today the Miami Marlins interviewed former MLB manager Manny Acta, reason for the meeting was not disclosed.

Manny Acta is a former professional baseball manager who is currently analyst for ESPN and ESPN Deportes. He served as manager for the Washington Nationals, Cleveland Indians, the Dominican Republic team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic and he also managed in the Dominican Winter League for the Tigres De Licey where he lead them to victory at the 2004 Caribbean Series.

Manny Acta brings MLB and International managerial experience, even though the Marlins are not commentating on the reports of the meeting this can only fortify reports that Dan Jennings role will be a return to the front office.

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Miami Marlins 9-1 on Monday afternoon behind a stellar pitching performance by Zach Davies, who earns his first major league victory.

Davies pitched seven innings , allowing one run and four hits and struck out four in just his second start of the season.

Third baseman Hernan Perez had three hits and three runs batted in, also helping out the offense was Khris Davis who homered driving in two runs and Jonathan Lucroy who had two doubles while driving in a run for the Brewers.

Justin Nicolino had a tough outing allowing five runs, nine hits, one walk, and striking out one in 4 1/3 innings for the Miami Marlins.

The Marlins offense was anemic to say the least mustering up a total of just six hits, Marlins loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth, but could only manage one run on a fielder's choice by Donovan Solano.

Miami Marlins manager Dan Jennings was ejected in the seventh inning for arguing balls and strikes, that was Jennings third ejection of the season.

The Marlins will send rookie pitcher Adam Conley (3-1) to the mound Tuesday September 8th, 2015 to take on fellow rookie Brewers pitcher Taylor Jungmann (9-5).
