Pitcher Chris Narveson was on his game tonight going five strong innings, zero earned runs, two walks and three strikeouts. The bullpen was amazing starting with Barraclough, Bryan Morris, Mike Dunn and closer AJ Ramos, holding the braves to one hit and hanging a big zero on the scoreboard.

The offense tonight provided some timely hitting especially from two guys Martin Prado and Justin bour each with a Double and RBI in the eighth inning, not to be left behind is center fielder Cole Gillespie who hit a homerun in the second off of braves pitcher Shelby Miller.

The bright spot for the Atlanta Braves was starting pitcher Shelby Miller going seven innings, giving up one earned run, no walks, four strikeouts and a home run given up.

Miami Marlins Drop Game Two To The Atlanta Braves

Written by;

The Miami Marlins have now dropped five games in a row, tonight's loss was a rollercoaster of a game. The game tonight was indicative of how the season has gone for the Miami Marlins, which was filled with ups, downs, and all types of things gone wrong.

The Team had high hopes to break up the losing streak throwing pitcher Jose Fernandez out onto the mound and things just did not go as planned. Jose Fernandez pitched five innings gave up two earned runs and struck out six, but it was not enough as the Atlanta Braves found a way to get back in the game after being down 3-2 with a four run seventh inning to take the lead 6-3.

The Atlanta Braves sent pitcher Julio Teheran to the mound who had a good game not spectacular but good,he pitched for six innings, gave up three runs, struck out three and the Braves offense had strong contribution from right fielder Nick Markakis, and catcher A.J. Pierzynksi, both adding two runs batted in.

The bright spot for the Miami Marlins in tonight's game came in the form of third baseman Martin Prado who went 2 for 4 and shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria going 2 for 4 adding two runs batted in.

In his major league debut for the Miami Marlins pitcher Kyle Barraclough worked a perfect eighth inning and in the top of the ninth manager Dan Jennings got tossed out of the game for arguing balls and strikes.

This has been one of the ugliest losses all season and the seventh inning continues to be a stormy inning for the Miami Marlins, the team sends out pitcher Tom Koehler tomorrow to try and take one from the Atlanta Braves in game three of a four game series.

Miami Marlins Drop A Tough One To The Padres

Written By;
Anthony Sanchez

The Miami Marlins drop game two of a four game series 3-1, the team had its chances to score, but just could not come through in the clutch.

Marlins lose another well pitched game by Dan Haren who threw six solid innings along with three strikeouts, albeit he did give up three earned runs all on solo home runs to, Brett Wallace and including back to back homers in the fifth inning to Yonder Alonso and Matt Kemp.

Padres starting pitcher Andrew Cashner just found a way to stifle the Marlin bats tossing seven strong innings giving up just one earned run. A very strong bullpen for the Padres took over sending Joaquin Benoit into the eighth followed by closer Craig Kimbrel who came in and secured the final three outs.

The Marlins continue to be a tease they show signs of life and then flatline, but give the team credit in the end they made you hold your breath with two on two out and Ichiro Suzuki up to bat and he grounds out to second, Marlins will have a chance to avenge this loss tomorrow night when they send pitcher David Phelps to the mound in game three of the series.

The bright spot on offense by the Miami Marlins was first baseman Justin Bour who went two for four with an RBI. The Marlins are happy to report Giancarlo Stanton has begun dry hitting and Dee Gordon is scheduled to take batting practice this weekend at teams training facility in Jupiter, Fl.
