Miami Marlins Drop Game Two To The Atlanta Braves

The Miami Marlins have now dropped five games in a row, tonight's loss was a rollercoaster of a game. The game tonight was indicative of how the season has gone for the Miami Marlins, which was filled with ups, downs, and all types of things gone wrong.

The Team had high hopes to break up the losing streak throwing pitcher Jose Fernandez out onto the mound and things just did not go as planned. Jose Fernandez pitched five innings gave up two earned runs and struck out six, but it was not enough as the Atlanta Braves found a way to get back in the game after being down 3-2 with a four run seventh inning to take the lead 6-3.

The Atlanta Braves sent pitcher Julio Teheran to the mound who had a good game not spectacular but good,he pitched for six innings, gave up three runs, struck out three and the Braves offense had strong contribution from right fielder Nick Markakis, and catcher A.J. Pierzynksi, both adding two runs batted in.

The bright spot for the Miami Marlins in tonight's game came in the form of third baseman Martin Prado who went 2 for 4 and shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria going 2 for 4 adding two runs batted in.

In his major league debut for the Miami Marlins pitcher Kyle Barraclough worked a perfect eighth inning and in the top of the ninth manager Dan Jennings got tossed out of the game for arguing balls and strikes.

This has been one of the ugliest losses all season and the seventh inning continues to be a stormy inning for the Miami Marlins, the team sends out pitcher Tom Koehler tomorrow to try and take one from the Atlanta Braves in game three of a four game series.
